Well, cooking occupied the majority of my day, although I rode my bike to the post office to mail a sympathy card. Our friend Art's daughter passed of cancer last week. She was in her twenties. I was especially grateful to have AJ and Colin with there families at our table, brother Eddie too. The poem, "Lord, make me an instrument of thy peace...." rang in my head all through the eve. I choked back my tears when the precious ones left. It was truly a blessed day.

Day 83-November 22, 2012
Thanksgiving Day, gobble gobble. The roasted twenty pound Butterball took center stage with all of the traditional supporting cast. I made an apple pie for Colin's birthday cake. The special birthday plate and candle spent the day on the table for him. His presents were wrapped in cute Elmo paper. I added acorn flour to my dinner rolls, they were delicious but dense. We had healthy sweet potatoes and green beans, I cut back on the butter in the smashed potatoes too. There were lots of leftover smashed potatoes, hum...
