"Chop wood, carry water..." Today began with watering the deck plants and garden and helping with two loads of firewood, one from Wildwood, and one from The Ranch. Ah, a good start.
Our first egg from our ten chickens arrived today. It was a nicely shaped medium brown egg. I think I know who. The Plymouth with the biggest comb, we have six that all look alike. She has been nesting while the others scratch about.
I picked up my granddaughter from her new day care at the local community college. All girls. They were sitting together for lunch when I arrived. Alexa helped me prepare for our lake afternoon with the boat. Our German son and his buddy enjoyed tubing and skiing. We had a lovely scenic boat ride.
She's having a sleep-over. We'll all sleep well.
