Day 123-January 1, 2013

     Happy New Year!  With a nod to my Gramma Holly, I turned on the Rose Parade.  I remembered going with her to see the parade when I was young.  Exciting times, but it is the crowds that I most remember.  At noon, although it was still cold, we jumped on the motorcycle and took an adventure ride out Perimeter Road and around Camp Far West.  Our destination was Crepeville in Sacramento to join Cokie, Javon, Jade, Jen, and her new beau, Trennie (spell?).  We had a delightful visit.  Jade is very excited about cheerleading and Javon is anxious to attempt his first model car.  Jen and Trennie were off to San Francisco to catch a plane to Texas before returning to Japan where they are stationed in the Navy.  We got home just after dark.  Karly got sick during the evening.  I was up with her during the night, I could tell she was hurting.
