I'm moving about preparing for the wedding rehearsal dinner in about two weeks. I'm in a bustle since Colin and Cora's escrow is scheduled to close this month and I want to help them for a week too. First off, I got the garden in. Pomegranate Ambrosia planted where some raspberries dies, and 7 tomatoes, 2 peppers and squash, and one eggplant...for now. Gophers, watch out! Next I started spending money, carefully. I stocked up on beverages at Safeway. I checked in on Fred's deck project with Jeff in Lake Wildwood on my way to pow wow with Jacque about the K Games awards.
Thursday began with housekeeping. A washing of all of our bedding for spring was in order, airing the pillows and vacuuming the mattress too. I went out the the Brown Ranch to paint, but it was already done. Just that journey ate up about an hour... Off to K Mart for K Game supplies, a visit to Ma Bone at Golden Empire, and dropping off papers for subbing next year. I'll do that unless needs me at the mill. I made a BIG pot of seafood soup. Into the night I finished the K Game award necklaces.
Friday morning I began by wrapping graduation gifts. Getting these little details done as well as cleaning chores before the arrival of Alexa for a sleep over. More shopping for wedding supplies.
The Friday afternoon "napping house" is one of my favorite times. So quiet and relaxed here. I mostly prepared for K Games this afternoon. The whirlwind wakes up and before long we're "outside." I'm determined to teach her to be gentle and respectful with plants. After a nice bbq chicken dinner and some play with alphabet cards, Precious went down at 8. I quickly changed clothes and headed to the little theater at Center of the Arts. "I Can Hear Music" was the premiere benefit show for our schools foundation. It was a delightful performance of songwriters of the late 50s and 60s at a Brill building in New York. Intermission was past my bedtime, but I made it through the late show.
